Can Gaming Be Good for your Brain?

Updated: Aug 15, 2021

We look at the beneficial effect of playing games on kids- what it can do for their growth- physiologically, socially, and mentally.

Parents worry about the ill effects of gaming, and what too much video game play can do to their children, but should they?

“Puzzles and games can help to build neurons in the brain.”

We recently came across an article from Scholastic eNews, that looked into the positive effects of gaming on young gamers. Here's more info about what gaming actually does to young people.

eSports Boosts STEM Knowledge

Though many children are already digital consumers, eSports often causes children to learn more about hardware- building computers and the elements that go into that, as well as what is important in servers and networks.

eSports Develops Related Skills

Your child may not become the best gamer in the world, but when they engage with eSports, they may discover an interest in coding, graphic design, video editing, announcing, or even events organisation! eSports is a growing industry with exciting new career opportunities that are waiting to be explored.

eSports Classes Build Social Ties

When you bring children together in person, magic can happen. And eSports classes can help children to come out of their shells, make new friends, and discover their social skills. Some will become more confident leaders, better team players, and learn to be supportive friends, whether their team wins or loses. It's all a win according to us!
